Vegetables can slow prostate cancer growth

A DIET rich in veg and probiotics could reduce the growth of low-risk prostate cancer, a study has shown.
Researchers developed a supplement made from broccoli, turmeric, pomegranate, green tea, ginger and cranberry and a probiotic - which are living edible microbes.
Some 212 men with low-risk prostate cancer were recruited to the study. Half were given the supplement and a placebo.
The other half were given the supplement and the special probiotic. Common probiotics include yoghurts and cottage cheese.
