UK top brass at Pentagon for Ukraine security talks

BRITISH military chiefs gathered at the Pentagon last night in a bid to pin down what role America is prepared to play to ensure Ukraine’s future security.

The meeting, which included other European generals, came amid deep unease over US president Donald Trump's changing stance about committing US resources.

Meanwhile, Russia launched a huge drone attack on a fuel plant in Izmail, Odesa, in the early hours of yesterday. One person was injured. A Kremlin air strike in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk, killed at least three and injured six.
