Bosh! Former Apprentice candidate voted off Strictly

- By Nicola Methven

MARKET trader Thomas Skinner was unable to sell his moves to the Strictly Come Dancing judges last night as he became the first contestant of this series to be booted off.

The former Apprentice star, 34, known for his catchword “Bosh!”, bashed out a salsa with professional dance partner Amy Dowden to Dizzee Rascal’s hit Bonkers.

But he did less dancing than carrying her around, and was awarded just 13 points out of 40. Craig Revel Horwood, who gave a two out of 10, said it looked like “a weightlifting competition in Skegness”.

Comments were no kinder when Tom and Amy, 35, found themselves repeating the routine in the dance-off last night against rugby legend Chris Robshaw and his partner Nadiya Bychkova.

Shirley Ballas sighed as she told the losing pair: “Well, you gave it a go.”

Tom started Strictly on the wrong foot by grabbing a reporter’s phone and stomping off during a pre-series interview. He later gave it back and apologised.

Adorable

Days later it was revealed he had cheated on his partner Sinead soon after getting married. She forgave him and was in the studio audience to cheer him on.
