Strathclyde named top Scots university

THE University of Strathclyde has been named Scottish University of the Year.

The Glasgow institution was also named the UK's Runner-up University of the Year, according to The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026.

Strathclyde was ranked in second place in the academic rankings for Scotland, behind the University of St Andrews. They are both among six Scottish universities in the national top 30, compared with five in last year's rankings.
