Statin drug cocktail 'could save over 330k lives a year'

ADDING another cholesterol-lower-ing drug to statins could save hundreds of thousands of lives every year, experts say.

Scientists believe the drug combination should be considered the “gold standard” for heart attack victims.

It comes after the largest research project yet on the best way to lower “bad” LDL-C cholesterol levels in patients with blocked arteries.
