Starmer: Ceasefire talks move 'in positive direction'

The Prime Minister led a call with leaders of the “coalition of the willing” yesterday after negotiations between’ Ukraine and the US in Geneva over the weekend appeared to bear fruit for a path to peace.

Last night Donald Trump wrote: “The original 28-Point Peace Plan, drafted by the US, has been fine-tuned, with additional input from both sides, and there are only a few remaining points of disagreement.

“In the hopes of finalising this Peace Plan, | have directed my Special Envoy Steve Witkoff to meet with President Putin in Moscow.
