In response to which, I’m shouting from my sofa: “No! No! Don’t head into Zulia state, Michael! “It’s one of Venezuela’s most notoriously dangerous regions, with a history of violence and gang warfare.

“It says so in your programme's press release.”

But of course he doesn’t hear me. People on the telly that I shout at never do (not even Stephen Mulhern, and believe me, I regularly shout at that guy until I'm pretty much hoarse).
