TAM O'BRIEN reckoned Arbroath managed to right some wrongs as they continued their top-four push with a 4-2 win over Dunfermline.

Strikes from Ryan Dow, Aaron Muirhead, Findlay Marshall as well as a Deniz Mehmet own goal saw the Red Lichties taste victory over the Pars, who had Andrew Tod and Josh Cooper on target.

It was a far cry from the heavy defeat they suffered against the Fifers at Gayfield last September.

Smokies skipper O'Brien, whose side are now seven points clear of fourthplaced Ayr, said: "We're delighted to get three points because we felt we had things to put right after last time when they came here and beat us 5-0.

"Getting the first goal in the Championship is always so important and getting a goal early in each half helps with momentum to go forward and try to win the game.

"The goals came at the right time for us."
