Scots set to shiver in hail, sleet and gales

SCOTLAND will be plunged back into winter tomorrow with hail, sleet and even snow arriving for many.
A chilly spell bringing overnight lows of minus 5C (23F) will arrive days after the country recorded its hottest day of 2026 at 20.2C (68F).
Cold air is currently lying to the west in the Atlantic, preceded by a low pressure system which will bring wind and rain today.
The north and west of Scotland will bear the brunt of the winds, blowing to gale force on the coasts and across the Western Isles. Colder air arrives on Wednesday.
