Scots public sector 'living in England to avoid tax'

THE Scottish Government has been left red-faced after it was revealed hundreds of public sector workers are living in England and avoiding the higher rate of income tax north of the border.

The majority of taxpayers in Scotland pay more into the public purse than those living in the south.

Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf created limited companies to avoid personal tax on some of their earnings and staff who work for the Scottish Government and its quangos are also avoiding higher income tax rates by basing themselves in England.
