BOB MacINTYRE reckons with Rory McIlroy on song, Europe can waltz away with this year's Ryder Cup.

The Oban star is gearing up for another epic Scottish Open showdown with the Grand Slam king after confirming his Renaissance return.

McIlroy is heading to July's showpiece in a huge boost for the summer spectacular in East Lothian.

The Northern Irish superstar pipped the heartbroken home hero by a shot two years ago, but the Scot's magnificent effort helped push him into the European team for Rome.

MacIntyre, 28, and McIlroy, 35, were then team-mates in the thunderous success at Marco Simone and now have their eyes on a repeat in New York in September.

The Masters champion has set a first away win in 13 years at Bethpage as high on his bucket list and MacIntyre wants to join him in sinking the Americans in their own backyard.
