Relief for gold toilet burglary middle man as he's spared jail

THE middle man in a plot to steal a £4.75million gold toilet from Blenheim Palace has walked free from court with a suspended sentence.
A gang tore out the working 18-carat artwork at Sir Winston Churchill's Oxfordshire birthplace in 2019. Frederick Doe, also known as Sines, had been convicted at Oxford Crown Court of conspiracy to transfer criminal property.
Doe, 37, of Winkfield, Berks, was yesterday given 21 months jail, suspended for two years, and told to do 240 hours of unpaid work. He hugged supporters and punched the air as he left court, and said: "My good nature has been taken advantage of.
