That's the advice of UK maker and family business Single Variety Co (SVC), whose jams and preserves elevate the pulling powers of flavour, quality and provenance.

The Bristol-based business, employing 13, was founded by retail and food development expert Nicola Elliott a decade ago. Husband Ross is now part of the team and the company is seeing record demand with a £3million turnover forecast for 2026/27 and 75% year-on-year growth. From a kitchen table startup, SVC has become a many-layered achievement spanning in-house manufacturing and diverse product formats to astute management and automation.
