FOREIGN Office chiefs were last night under mounting pressure to help evacuate British nationals stranded in war-torn Israel.
Officials have warned against all travel to the country, which was placed on the off-limits red list as the conflict with Iran rages on.
Yesterday, family members of British staff at the UK embassy in Tel Aviv and the consulate in Jerusalem were “temporarily withdrawn”.
