Poll shows big slump in support for Starmer

LABOUR’s popularity has sunk to a six-year low, according to a damning poll that could leave Sir Keir Starmer with just one third of his current seats.

YouGov found that the party is now backed by just one in five voters (20%), a level last seen in July 2019 at the height of fury towards both main parties during Brexit.

The poll confirmed Nigel Farage’s Reform UK is still well ahead of all other parties on 28%, with the Tories just clinging on to third place with 17%.

The Liberal Democrats and Green Party remain strong on 16% and 11% respectively.
