Parking firms dish out 24% more fines

THE number of parking tickets private firms give out is up 24%.
The spike comes as a legislation-backed code of conduct for the sector faces further delay.
Drivers were handed 4.3 million tickets by private companies between April and June, up from 3.5 million a year earlier, the RAC Foundation and PA found by analysing government figures.
