Mother in emotional plea to youngsters after death of Kayden

THE mother of tragic Kayden Moy yesterday pleaded: “This has to stop.”

Her 16-year-old son died in hospital after a trip to Irvine beach on Saturday.

Yesterday, a 17-year-old boy appeared in court charged with fatally stabbing Kayden.

Hours earlier, Kayden’s mother had taken to social media to speak of her heartbreak.

Posting several photographs of her son, Ashley Drummond said: “My beautiful boy, sleep tight.

“I see all the kind messages coming through.

“This has to stop, I don’t ever want this to happen to another family.”

In a further post, she added: “Paul (Kayden’s father) and I are deeply grateful for the outpouring of heart-felt messages we've received.
