GRANT GILCHRIST reckons Scotland only had themselves to blame for Saturday’s “bitterly disappointing” defeat by Fiji.

Now the Edinburgh forward says the squad have a point to prove when they end their Pacific tour on Friday with another tough game — against Samoa in Auckland.

The Scots scored early in both halves in Suva, with tries by Kyle Rowe and Tom Jordan being converted by debutant Fergus Burke.

But they were punished for indiscipline when Ewan Ashman and Darcy Graham were sin-binned in the first half before Graham was shown a red card for a second yellow after the break.
