Charles' film shows dogged desire to save planet

THE King insists he will not be “diverted” from his environmental mission despite widespread criticism and ridicule over the years.

He was speaking in an Amazon Prime documentary celebrating his lifelong dedication to sustainability and climate action.

In Finding Harmony: A King's Vision, Charles, 77, warns that the fight to save the planet is “rapidly going backwards”.

He adds: “I’ve said that for the last 40 years. I can only do what I can do, which is not very much.”

The King says he sees his role as “facilitating” — bringing change-makers together so important conversations can be had.

He adds in the film: “I just felt this was the approach I was going to stick to, a course I set and I wasn’t going to be diverted from.”

The documentary was launched at Windsor Castle last night at a glittering premiere hosted by Charles and Queen Camilla, 78, the first such event to be held at a royal residence.
