'If we are attacked in any way by Iran the full strength and might of US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before'

DONALD Trump has warned Iran it faces “the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces” if his nation is targeted by the regime.

'If we are attacked in any way by Iran the full strength and might of US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before'

It came as Israel said Tehran’s missile onslaught had killed “children in their beds” and left at least 200 seriously injured.

On another day of chaos and carnage yesterday air raid sirens could be heard in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv as missiles hurtled above.

Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian said his country’s “strong and appropriate” response would be ramped up if Israel continued to attack.

Mr Trump issued a warning of his own to Iran, saying: “If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before.

“However, we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel and end this bloody conflict.”

Yesterday sources claimed the US president had vetoed an Israeli plan to kill Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The White House had made it clear to Israeli officials that Mr Trump, right, was opposed to the move, according to a US official who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Mr Trump is understood to have seen the plan as a move that would inflame the conflict and potentially further destabilise the region.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declined to comment on the alleged plan.

He said: “But I can tell you, I think that we do what we need to do, we'll do what we need to do.
