PROTESTERS clashed with ICE officers in Minneapolis after Border Patrol agents shot dead another demonstrator, intensive care nurse Alex Pretti.

Mr Pretti, 37, who worked at a hospital for injured servicemen and women, was hit at least three times in the back, according to a doctor who gave him CPR.

His parents said he joined the protests following the ICE (Immigration and Customs Law Enforcement) shooting of Renee Good in the city on January 7.

Democrats again called for federal immigration officers to withdraw from Minnesota following the latest killing.

Hundreds more demonstrators took to the streets after Mr Pretti was shot on Saturday morning. Federal officers used stun grenades and batons on the furious crowd as temperatures hit -21C.
