TWO heartbroken dads whose daughters were murdered in the Southport atrocity say the girls “will be with us always” as they run the London Marathon in tribute.

'I tell Alice to keep going...that we are doing this together'

Alice Aguiar, nine, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Bebe King, six, were stabbed to death at a dance class last July 29.

Now David Stancombe and Sergio Aguiar will run the 26.2-mile course to raise money for projects set up in their memory.

Sergio is running on Sunday to help pay for an adventure playground at Alice and Bebe’s Churchtown Primary School.

He said he talks to Alice as he is training: “I tell her to keep going with me, that we’re going to do this together... ‘You're going to be with me — always.’”

David is fundraising for the Elsie’s Story charitable trust that helps young people. He said Elsie would be very proud of his efforts — they watched TV coverage of the marathon.

Incredible

Last year and she told him he should run it in honour of her grandmother.

He recalled: “A little bit of me was like, ‘Oh yeah, alright Els.’ I just never thought I would be running it for these reasons.”

All three shattered families will be in the capital.

Bebe’s parents Lauren and Ben will be on the marathon route to support David and Sergio.
