Harnessing the power of prepping with products that protect gear and make it last longer, the British manufacturer has been trailblazing for almost 50 years.

Its aftercare formulations exclude harmful forever chemicals (known as PFAs) still used in the outdoor wear industry along with aerosols and animal testing.

But as environmental concerns grow and more bans come into force, Nikwax goes from strength to strength. Turnover now stands at £20million-plus with over 10% annual growth. Its 38 products are sold in 50 countries and while its international reach includes offices in the US, Poland and the Netherlands, its centre employing more than 70 remains in Wadhurst, East Sussex, where on a 10-acre site a production unit is surrounded by land humming with biodiversity.
