Flat owners’ dream of life by sea is now ‘a nightmare’

RESIDENTS of a clifftop apartment complex say their dream of a home by the sea has become a “nightmare” after building problems.

The Cliff Edge development was marketed as “high-end” living, offering a “special and rare” opportunity. Flats were snapped up by people seduced by the stunning location.

But in the two years since moving in, they claim to have reported snag after snag, which have not been fixed.

On a website they have set up, one resident of the block in Newquay, Cornwall, claims the development is not waterproof and floods are “routine in the basement, the electrical room and in some apartments”.
