ST MIRREN manager Stephen Robinson is eyeing a further chance to cement a change in narrative when his side take on Airdrie in the Scottish Cup fifth round.

The Buddies ended a seven-game run without a league win when they beat Premiership leaders Hearts on Tuesday.

A four-match losing streak around the turn of the year and some costly injuries threatened to put the Premier Sports Cup winners in a relegation fight.

But they have given themselves some breathing space in the table and can extend their unbeaten run to five matches when they travel to Lanarkshire tonight.
