SIX ARRESTS AFTER PROTEST
PROTESTERS are set to descend on a hotel housing asylum seekers this weekend after a rallying call by far-Right activist Tommy Robinson.
News of the “mass mobilisation” comes after six people were arrested on Sunday following another demonstration outside the Bell Hotel in Epping, Essex.
Robinson, 42, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, says he will attend a protest rally on Sunday, saying on X that “the world will hear the lion roar”.
Riot police are drawing up emergency plans for the event, which is expected to draw significant crowds and counter-protesters, creating the potential for violent clashes.
On Sunday, six people were arrested after another protest escalated into “thuggery”, police said.
