MOTHERWELL boss Michael Wimmer wants to send the fans home happy after their last Premiership home game of the season on Wednesday night.

The Fir Park side were second best on Saturday as they lost 3-0 to Hearts, with a Lawrence Shankland brace and Alan Forrest’s goal earning the hosts three points.

It also saw Hearts leapfrog Well into seventh spot.

But German boss Wimmer, who took the reins in February, is eyeing a strong finish as Well wrap up their campaign at home to Kilmarnock on Wednesday and then visit 11th-placed Ross County on Sunday.

Wimmer, whose team had picked up seven points from nine before facing Hearts, said: “I expect from my team that we stay focused for Wednesday.
