Stars worst in history at spotting Traitors

- By Nicola Methven

CONTESTANTS in The Celebrity Traitors are officially the worst in the show’s history at spotting a baddie.

They have now gone six instalments without taking a single Traitor scalp, with three more Faithfuls leaving the castle in last night’s show.

“Big dog” Sir Stephen Fry was sent packing along with Line of Duty actor Mark Bonnar and comedian Joe Wilkinson.

And the next episode will open with the swift demise of either Kate Garraway, Nick Mohammed or Lucy Beaumont as one of them is murdered outdoors, on the chess board.

After that, just eight players will remain — three of them now the most successful band of uncaught Traitors to date. The three series featuring non-celebrity contestants have never gone further than episode six without a Traitor being caught.

David Olusoga summed up the situation after Mark’s exit. He said: “We are disastrously bad at this game and it’s going to get worse.”

Joe Wilkinson and Joe Marler agreed, laughing: “We're making history as the worst set of Faithfuls.”

Leaving the show after being banished, Sir Stephen said he had had the “best fun for years” and called the group “an extraordinary and wonderful bunch of people”.
