Elvis finding Dee rebuild a far tougher gig than he was expecting

STEVEN PRESSLEY has admitted the Dundee rebuild is an even bigger challenge than he anticipated.

The new boss has had a baptism of fire, losing his opening two Premier Sports Cup games to Airdrie and Alloa.

Pressley came in without a backroom team and the loss of 10 of last season's regular starters means he's had to build a squad from scratch.

With his side now unable to reach the next round, they head to Bonnyrigg Rose tonight with the focus on being ready for their Premiership opener against Hibs.

The Dens Park boss said: "I'm not going to lie, this rebuild is a bigger challenge than I anticipated.

"Getting players in has been a lot harder than I expected because it's a lot tougher to get players up here now.

"There have been a lot of aspects I've found challenging that I never envisaged.
