THE Prince of Wales has praised Brazil's indigenous communities for their role in protecting the natural world.
William pledged to "support" the groups in their mission of safeguarding the Amazon rainforest, hailing them as "guardians".
He met indigenous leaders from across the South American nation as his Brazil tour came to an end.
The future King had staged his Earthshot Prize Awards in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday, and then gave a landmark speech at the COP30 UN Climate Change summit in Belem, a city in the Amazon.
