Dingwall dismay as County are facing play-off peril again

ROSS COUNTY will have to win a third play-off in a row to preserve their Premiership status after drawing 1-1 with Motherwell yesterday.

The Staggies took the lead just before the half-hour mark through Ronan Hale, with Motherwell equalising late on via Moses Ebiye.

However, the result in Dingwall ended up not mattering as Dundee got the result they needed at St Johnstone, winning 2-0.

County boss Don Cowie saw a disastrous run of form to end the season consign the Staggies to a third successive relegation play-off, this time against Livingston.

“We find ourselves in the play-offs not because of today,” Cowie said.

“It was on the previous two months of results that haven't been good enough.

“The disappointing thing from today was that I thought the first half was as good as we've been.

“We were good on Wednesday night, but today was the next level.
