Locals hit out at traffic and housing boom

A BOOM in tourists and new arrivals lured by star residents such as Jeremy Clarkson has “ruined” Chipping Norton with “ridiculous” overdevelopment, say long-term locals.

The pretty Cotswolds area is a magnet for celebrities — with Kate Moss, Sir David Beckham, David Cameron and Jamie Oliver all living in the area.

But townsfolk say the depiction of rural life on Clarkson’s Farm hosted by Jeremy, right, is putting a strain on infrastructure and public services.
