Mikey: Mad Ibrox stint has toughened me up

- BY SCOTT MCDERMOTT

CRAZY DAYS FOR MOORE

MIKEY MOORE arrived at Ibrox as a boy but insists he will return to Tottenham having become a man.

The 18-year-old winger has described his time on loan at Rangers so far as a "crazy" experience.

And he's honest enough to admit that his start in Glasgow was the most difficult period of his fledgling career so far.

Having arrived with huge potential and a glowing reputation, it soon looked like Scottish football might chew him up and spit him out.

Manager Russell Martin was sacked just 123 days into the job after a dreadful start to the campaign and the teenager accepts it tested him mentally.

There were even rumours that he was set to return to Spurs early.

But Moore is adamant that was never the case.

To his credit, he's emerged through the other side and is now thriving under new manager Danny Rohl.

Moore scored his first goal for the club on Sunday in a 3-0 win over Dundee at Dens Park. With more freedom on the pitch, he's starting to show why he's tipped to be a future Premier League star.

And he says life as a Rangers player is toughening him up.
