Council won't give way on 20mph plans

A COUNCIL has been accused of ignoring any opposition to reduce speed limits and charging on regardless.

Fife Council plans to reduce the limit in Kirkcaldy from 30mph to 20mph.

Residents have been invited to answer a survey about the plans for main roads through the town.

Controversial

But one local said the online consultation form did not allow people to present an “opposing opinion” to the controversial plans, which locals “strongly” oppose.

The Kirkcaldy resident - who wishes to remain anonymous - claims that the Labour-run council will continue, even if the majority state an opposing view.
