THE King has announced the creation of an English dram in time for the Christmas market - made with barley from his own estate.
Highgrove Evergreen English Single Malt Whisky is set to be released next month.
All the barley used by Cotswolds Distillery is sourced locally and traditionally floor-malted at Britain's oldest working maltings.
The dram has been created using a process known as "Shaving, Toasting, and Re-charring" (STR), which was developed especially to rejuvenate used red wine casks.
