Canada won't scare Scotland

SCOTLAND full-back Chloe Rollie reckons they have shown a new mental toughness in their wins over Wales and Fiji at the Women’s World Cup - and she wants more of the same in Saturday’s Pool B decider against Canada.

The Canadians are level with Scotland at the top of the section after their own wins over the Welsh and Fijians.

Whoever loses the match in Exeter is likely to face hosts and world No.1 England in the quarterfinals. The smart money says that will be Scotland, as Canada are ranked second in the world and have been favourites to win the pool since before the tournament kicked off.

But Rollie and her teammates are determined to rise to the occasion.

She said: “We’ve got a totally different mentality in this World Cup. We deserve to be here and we want to show we can do anything and perform on the world stage.
