'Nightmare' Norrie aims to frighten Alcaraz

CAMERON NORRIE will bid to live up to his “nightmare” reputation and shock defending champion Carlos Alcaraz on Centre Court today.

The feisty British No.3 has annoyed as well as beaten Frances Tiafoe and Nicolas Jarry on his way to the quarterfinals with his shouts of “Vamos” and fist pumping.

Norrie, the 2022 Wimbledon semifinalist, will not dial down his “energy” against Alcaraz.

He said: “We're playing and competing for our livelihood, so I want to compete as hard as I can, and I'm not going to tank matches and roll over for someone else.
