...but Mahmood says 'important message' sent to migrants

A CHANNEL migrant was finally deported to France yesterday under Sir Keir Starmer’s “one in, one out” deal with Emmanuel Macron.

The failed asylum seeker, from India, is believed to have flown to Paris on an Air France service from Heathrow. He is understood to have crossed on a small boat in August.

It comes as a second migrant last night lost a High Court challenge to block his deportation this morning.

The man, who cannot be named, brought a claim against the Home Office ahead of a scheduled removal at 6.15am today.

The High Court was told the man had made a “journey from Eritrea”.

Judge Mr Justice Sheldon said the individual has “a number of different medical needs and he asserts he has been a victim of trafficking”.
