THE latest figures show there were 1,573 asylum seekers in Scottish hotels at the end of June, an increase of 221 since March.
Aberdeen has the most asylum seekers in hotels with 364, followed by
Aberdeenshire with 286, Perth and Kinross (192), Edinburgh (162), Inverclyde (104) and Dumfries and Galloway (103).
Falkirk (92), South Lanarkshire (90), West Lothian (88) and Renfrewshire (66) also have dozens of asylum seekers in hotel accommodation.
