The City of Philadelphia, along with the Division of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) and the Philadelphia Housing Development Corporation (PHDC), has announced the launch of the One Philly Federal Furloughed Renter Relief Program.

Applications now available for One Philly Federal Furloughed Renter Relief Program Rental assistance for Philly residents

This initiative aims to assist Philadelphia renters employed by the federal government who experienced economic hardship and were unable to pay rent during the recent government shutdown. Applications for this program are open starting December 1, 2025.The program is exclusively for renters employed by the federal government and provides eligible households with a onetime $1,000 grant. Applications will be accepted from Monday, December 1, 2025, through Friday, December 12, 2025, or until funding is exhausted.
