PM: India is most cost-effective space power

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India is leading the most cost-effective yet successful space programme in the world and is a now global space power.

He was peaking at the monthly radio broadcast ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Sunday. He was paying tributes to former ISRO chief K Kasturirangan, who died on 25 April. “His contribution in scaling newer heights to science, education and India’s space programme shall always be remembered. ISRO attained a new identity under his leadership,” the Prime Minister said.
He said there were 325 start-ups now in the country as against just one a decade ago.
