The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking a judicial inquiry into the 22 April terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which left 26 people dead, mostly tourists.

A bench comprising Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh sternly criticised the petitioners-advocates Fatesh Kumar Sahu, Vicky Kumar, and Kashmir resident Junaid Mohd-for seeking a retired judge to oversee the investigation.
