Planners approve application despite concerns from police
-
A FORMER dental practice in Widnes will be converted into a house in multiple occupation (HMO), despite police concerns over possible vandalism and community tensions.
Planning officers at Halton Borough Council have rubber-stamped an application to transform the former Widnes Dental Practice on Lacey Street into a four bedroom HMO.
HMOs are defined as properties with multiple bedrooms but shared facilities such as kitchens and bathrooms.
The scheme was put forward by Stockport based company Aurora Rising.
