Parents open play centre in tribute to “Tommy Tumble’

A COUPLE have opened a role play centre in memory of their son.

Charlotte and Dan Squibbs, from Whitworth, opened Tommy Tumble Town in Bacup surrounded by friends and family last Monday.
Actress Brooke Vincent, from Coronation Street, joined the launch day to open the new business which has seen 150 people walk through its doors in its first week.
The couple wanted to create a space where other children could experience the joy of role play their son Tommy loved.
Dan, who works with Rochdale FC, said: “We wanted to keep Tommy's memory alive and because he loved role play so much we thought opening a role play centre would be a perfect tribute.
“The response from the community has been great.
“We have been full every day and we always see new people.”
Four-year-old Tommy was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia in September 2023.
