Killer husband dies in prison

A PRISONER who murdered his wife died after being found collapsed in his cell at a jail, an inquest heard.

Russell Stephen Trelore, who was serving a life sentence for murder, was found 'unresponsive' at HMP Buckley Hall in Rochdale.

Paramedics were called to the Category C men’s prison at around 8.30am on May 27.

Mr Trelore, who turned 64 the day before, was taken to Fairfield General Hospital by ambulance, an inquest opening at Rochdale Coroners’ Court was told.

“It appeared he may have an upper GI [gastro-intestinal] bleed,” police coroners’ officer Kathy Skelton said.
