More than 21 windows were smashed across East Lancashire Railway’s (ELR) heritage coaching stock last weekend.

Cruel vandals also targeted a privately owned diesel railcar set which is currently undergoing renovation.

The ELR said there was “also evidence of attempted arson” at the site on Baron Street. More than £5,000 of damage was caused during the incident between Saturday (April 12) and Sunday (April 13).
