1,000 HMP RANBY INMATES HAD DEVELOPED A DRUG PROBLEM
DRUGS are still “widely available” to inmates at a Nottinghamshire prison, with drones dropping packages of contraband, an inspection has found.
The unmanned aircraft remain the biggest risk to order and control at HMP Ranby, a Category C prison located near Retford, according to the latest report by the Inspectorate of Prisons.
At the last visit, inspectors said a quarter of the site’s 1,000 inmates had developed a drug or alcohol problem whilst at the facility. They urged leaders to tackle substance abuse issues as an urgent priority.
