More Than Meets The Eye
-
The Pahalgam massacre germinated Operation Sindhoor, a calculated and calibrated response by India, hitting selected targets, specifically the camps and launch pads of terrorists across the border.
Pakistan responded with Operation Bunyan-al-un-Marsoos, targeting Indian defence installations, though not successfully. Then, India launched retaliatory strikes on Pakistan defence bases and installations. culminating in the brokered ceasefire or cessation of strikes, an arrangement mutually arrived at, whichever way we want to put it. The situation is officially not over yet and each passing day is bringing new twists and turns to the already thickened plot and fresh information is flowing in, adding numerous other dimensions to the already complex episode making it a potboiler. It could be just the first chapter of the story.
The unfolding events have brought to light various aspects of the conflict, the political, the strategic and diplomatic calculations and responses.
The situation continues to be dynamic, with each side responding to the other's moves in a high-stakes game of geopolitics. As more information becomes available, the narrative is likely to evolve further, providing additional insights into the conflict and its implications and many internal nuances adding on to the plot.
