A tireless leader with an unyielding spirit, Rekha Gupta is known for her unwavering commitment to excellence. The word 'no' finds no place in her vocabulary, nor does the phrase 'will try.'

Rekha Gupta, Chief Minister, lady with vision for Delhi

For her, every challenge has always been met with a resolute 'do it.' Her approach to governance is rooted in action over conviction, never retreating from controversy but embracing it head-on with determination.

Born on July 19, 1974, in Haryana, Rekha Gupta's leadership was marked by perseverance and dedication.

An alumna of the esteemed Daulat Ram College at Delhi University, she later pursued her Bachelor of Laws from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, graduating in 2022. Her academic foundation equipped her with the intellectual and ethical fortitude necessary to face the rigours of public life.

Her foray into student politics as Secretary and subsequently President of the Delhi University Students' Union served as the crucible for her political acumen. It was during these formative years that she developed the resilience and strategic insight essential for navigating the demanding world of politics.

Driven by a steadfast commitment to public service, Rekha Gupta joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), where her dedication to the welfare of the community continued to guide her path. She courageously challenged the deeply entrenched Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and the Delhi Assembly elections of 2025 became a defining moment in her political career. Emerging victorious by a margin of 29,596 votes over AAP's Bandana Kumari, her triumph was not only a personal milestone but also a turning point in Delhi's political landscape.

"This is history in the making," she proclaimed. After over a decade of governance, the AAP government was democratically replaced by the BJP."

With this landmark victory, Rekha Gupta not only underscored her popularity and leadership but also heralded a new chapter in Delhi's governance-one that places long-term vision, resilience, and people-centric progress at its core.
