Community mourns the passing of Mufti Abdun Nabi Hamidi

THE global Muslim community is mourning the loss of a beloved scholar and leader, Mufti Abdun Nabi Hamidi, 58, who passed away last week.
-
Hamidi, known for his exemplary service and dedication to the way of Allah (azza wa jall) in several important positions in second important positions.
As the head of South Africa, Darul Uloom, Islam jamatul Madina, Mufti Hamidi played a vital role in shaping the minds of his students and followers.
During his lifetime, he also served as the president of the Sunni Ulama Council, Gauteng, deputy president of the United Ulama Council of South Africa (UUCSA), and as the imam of Sultan Rana Masjid in Mayfair.
